Police Seek Tips in Shooting Death of Md. Father on Beltway

WASHINGTON — Over the holiday weekend, a father of four was shot and killed in his car on the beltway. Now Prince George’s County investigators are asking for any information that might further their leads.

Some useful tips regarding the shooting death of 55-year-old Adriano Lombre have come in, police said Wednesday. But authorities need those calls to keep coming.

Meanwhile, Lombre’s family continues to raise money for his funeral Sunday on a Go Fund Me page, which had raised over $7,500 as of Wednesday evening.

Saturday night, a county officer discovered Lombre shot multiple times behind the wheel of his white Mercury Grand Marquis sedan off northbound I-495 and the Pennsylvania Avenue exit. Shell casings were found near the car.

On Lombre’s back windshield are the words “SKIN FAN FOR LIFE” and a Redskins logo, which is so identifiable that police are sure someone saw something. They ask residents to call even if the detail seems small.
