MOUNT RAINIER, Md. (AP) — Police say the death of a man found on a sidewalk in the city of Mount Rainier in Maryland is a homicide.
Prince George’s County police on Monday identified the victim as 25-year-old German Garcia-Paredes of Brentwood.
Police said in a statement that Garcia-Paredes was found dead Saturday in the 3500 block of Rhode Island Avenue. Police say they were called to check on the welfare of a man found on a sidewalk. Police say when they arrived they found Garcia-Paredes suffering from trauma to his upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say they’re working to identify a suspect or suspects in the case.
