Police Arrest Man After Deadly Roanoke Restaurant Shooting

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — A man has been arrested following a fatal shooting at a Roanoke restaurant over the weekend.

News outlets report that 24-year-old Jermaine L. Brown was arrested Monday charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting early Sunday at Monster’s Bar and Grill.

Police say they saw people flee and drive away before officers found “numerous” patrons who’d been shot inside.

Authorities say 26-year-old Jermaine L. Black, of Roanoke, died at the scene. Police have not given updates on the conditions of the several other victims who were shot.

Brown is also charged with malicious wounding. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
