HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Police say a shooting at a home in Hampton left one man dead and four people injured.

Hampton police said in a statement that officers were called to the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found three men in a side yard suffering from gunshot wounds.

Twenty-one-year-old Devyn Andre Reed of Hampton was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old Hampton man and a 21-year-old Wakefield man were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

While officers were investigating, a man and woman from Hampton, both 19, arrived at a hospital each with a single gunshot wound. Police said they were also shot at the home, where a preliminary investigation shows a large gathering or party was taking place.
