Plastics Company to Expand Facility

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese plastic company plans to spend $45 million to expand a facility in Northern Virginia.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced Thursday that Toray Plastics’ expansion at its Front Royal facility in Warren County will create 30 new jobs.

The company will receive an undisclosed amount of state funding through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

Toray’s Tokyo-based parent company produces synthetic fibers, textiles, plastics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and films. It has annual sales of more than $19 billion.
