Norfolk Police Arrest Man After Nearly 4-day Standoff

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Norfolk police say they have arrested a man who barricaded himself inside his house for days.

Police spokesman Daniel Hudson tells local media the incident began Monday morning when police responded to the Larchmont neighborhood in Norfolk to investigate reports of vandalism. He says a man thought to be involved in the vandalism displayed a gun to officers and ran into the house he lives in.

The man remained barricaded in his house until 3:30 a.m. Thursday. Police say the man’s arrest was made “without incident.”
