COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) โ The director of the Newseum in Washington, D.C., is joining University of South Carolina President Harris Pastides for a discussion on leadership.
Jeffrey Herbst appears Thursday at 6 p.m. in the School of Law Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public, and is moderated by College of Information and Communications Dean Charles Bierbauer.
The Newseum is a living exhibition of the nationโs Constitutional protections under the First Amendment: freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition.
In addition to its exhibits, the Newseum hosts educational events, workshops for journalists and documents the evolution of the communications industry.
