WASHINGTON — A woman and her child suffered life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car in Leesburg, Virginia, Wednesday morning.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said the pair were hit at about 8:15 a.m. at Riverside Parkway and Kipheart Drive, as they were crossing the road. The child was in a stroller.
They’ve both been taken to a hospital with what the sheriff’s office called life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation; the driver stayed at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
