Modified Schedules for Amtrak to NY

WASHINGTON — If you take Amtrak to New York, the train service says its Amtrak Acela Express, Northeast Regional and other services will operate on modified schedules.

Amtrak suspended service Sunday evening because of police activity near the Elizabeth, N.J. station.

According to Amtrak:

“Passengers should be prepared for the possibility of additional cancellations and delays throughout the day Monday. Any additional schedule modifications will be announced as warranted.

Amtrak regrets any inconvenience.”

Amtrak recommends going to Amtrak.com/alerts or call 800-USA-RAIL to check for updates. You also can follow service disruptions on the Northeast Corridor, including Acela Express, Northeast Regional and other corridor services, @AmtrakNEC on Twitter.
