Metallica to Livestream Pre-tour Rehearsal From Baltimore

WASHINGTON — Metallica starts their World Wired Tour on Wednesday night at Baltimore’s M & T Bank Stadium, but you can get a glimpse of what they’ve got in store Tuesday night online.

The band will run through four songs, including their new single “Now That We’re Dead,” in a rehearsal at the stadium called “Now That We’re Live,” which will be posted on their website and streamed on Facebook Live at 9 p.m. Viewers will also be asked to contribute to the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which supports several charities, food banks and music education programs.

One of the band’s managers said that this would be the band’s first streamed rehearsal. They’ve broadcast pre-show jams and warmup sessions, said Marc Reiter, but “This is a true rehearsal in a concert setting, where the band are feeling out their new stage for the upcoming stadium tour, and inviting the fans to have a brief look at the process.”

As for the timing of the rehearsal, Reiter said, “Tonight is the final rehearsal before the first show of the summer tour, so if they’re not ready now …”
