Md. 28 Closing Near Point of Rocks for RR Crossing Repair

POINT OF ROCKS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland State Highway Administration says a section of Md. 28 near Point of Rocks will be closed for several days for repairs to a CSX rail crossing.

The agency says the section between Bowis Drive and Rock Hall Road will close Friday and reopen by Tuesday, weather permitting.

The highway is also called Tuscarora Road. It is used by many MARC rail commuters who drive to the Point of Rocks station from communities south of Frederick and east of U.S. 15.

The SHA says a signed detour route includes New Design Road, Mountville Road and U.S. 15.
