Maryland Man Gets Life Plus 30 Years in 2 Slayings

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Maryland man who pleaded guilty to two slayings four years apart has been sentenced to life plus 30 years in prison.

The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office says in a news release that 29-year-old Christopher Scheibe (SHY-bee) of Mechanicsville was sentenced Wednesday.

Scheibe was sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder in the death last year of 24-year-old Holly Smith. He was sentenced to 30 years for second-degree murder in the 2012 killing of 20-year-old Jessica Lee. Both women had been stabbed to death.
