Jesse Jackson Scheduled to Speak at George Mason University

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — The Rev. Jesse Jackson is scheduled to speak at George Mason University.

The school says the civil rights leader will address students Friday at 6 p.m. at Mason’s Harris Theater on the school’s Fairfax campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Jackson, who also ran for president as a Democrat in the 1980s, is slated to speak on college student voting, voter registration and issues of race in America.

The event is hosted by Mason’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Education and Student Involvement.
