Debris Falls Onto Red Line Track

WASHINGTON — Metro’s Red Line service is back to regular service after an overnight track issue.

Metro says metal and debris fell from the ceiling and onto the track before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The agency says the was no structural issue with the station, but trains were forced to bypass the station until the system closed.

There were no injuries reported.

Service at the station has now resumed.
