Cumberland Announces Free Wi-Fi in Downtown Business Area

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — The western Maryland city of Cumberland is making free Wi-Fi available in the downtown business district.

The city said in a statement Monday that the service is designed mainly for use outdoors on the downtown pedestrian mall and connecting streets. No password is needed.

City Administrator Jeff Rhoades says the city built and installed the system to enhance the appeal of the central business district.
