Crews Search for Woman in Waters on Maryland's Eastern Shore

CHESTERTOWN, Md. (AP) — Crews are searching for a woman who fell into the waters along Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Maryland Natural Resources Police say the woman fell overboard at the mouth of the Sassafras River in Kent County on Sunday night. Authorities say a State Police helicopter was taking part in the search by police and firefighters.

Authorities say the woman wasn’t wearing a life jacket. She wasn’t identified and further details were not immediately available.
