THURMONT, Md. (AP) — A Baltimore woman has died after police say she ran in front of a tractor-trailer traveling south on U.S. 15 in western Maryland.
Maryland State Police said in a news release that the truck driver couldn’t avoid hitting 49-year-old Bonnie Lee Bush-Schaffer early Sunday in Thurmont. She died at the scene.
Police say they don’t know why Bush-Schaffer ran into the road.
