BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man charged with murder in the death of his 5-month-old son.
Police said Monday they have an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Perry Nelson-Johnson.
Police said in a statement that they were called to a home June 9 for a report of an unconscious baby. Police say the child was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police say Nelson-Johnson said his son Emmanuel had rolled off a bed, but an investigation revealed that the boy had old and new injuries inconsistent with a fall. An autopsy revealed severe head trauma. Police believe Nelson-Johnson, who is blind and uses a walking stick, used a blunt object to inflict the injuries. Police say it’s possible he used his walking stick as a weapon.
