BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say officers fired a single round at a suspect who brandished a gun at them but missed.
Police say in a news release that officers were approached by a man at about 10:15 p.m. on Monday who told them he’d been assaulted by a man with a pipe who was still inside his home.
Police say officers went to the address in west Baltimore and found the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Jerome Clinton, who pointed a handgun at the officers. Police say one of the officers fired one round at Clinton but missed.
Clinton was arrested and charged with assault, gun- and drug-related crimes.
Police say the gun Clinton brandished had been reported stolen.
