Army Says Weapon Tests May Be Felt Off-post Near Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) — Army officials at Aberdeen Proving Ground are advising their neighbors that noise and vibrations from weapons tests might be felt off-post this week.

The garrison office said in a statement Monday that besides the daytime blasts, the Aberdeen Test Center is planning daytime and nighttime training exercises that may include weapons and watercraft.

The tests are scheduled Tuesday through Friday.

The statement says the operations are not hazardous to people in surrounding communities and are a necessary part of the Army’s testing mission.
