WASHINGTON — Police in Arlington are looking for the public’s help in finding a man they say entered a woman’s apartment and sexually assaulted her early Sunday.
The Arlington County police said in a statement that a man unlawfully entered the woman’s apartment in the 3900 block of 4th Street North and used the threat of a weapon to hold the woman while he sexually assaulted her.
The woman eventually managed to lock herself in a bathroom and yell for help, which caused the attacker to run away, the police said.
The man has been described by the victim and witnesses as Hispanic, between 25 and 35 years old, with dark hair and a fair complexion. The police have released a sketch based on the descriptions.
If you know anything about the incident or the suspect, the police ask you to call them at 703-228-4183 or email them. You can call the Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477) if you want to stay anonymous.
