CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) — Chesterfield County police are looking for a man who they say attempted to abduct a 7-year-old girl.
Police say in a statement that at about 7:10 p.m. Monday, the girl was walking in the Stone Harbor neighborhood when a vehicle stopped on the street next to her. A man exited the vehicle and picked the girl up.
The girl kicked the man, who then dropped her. The suspect returned to his car and fled.
The victim wasn’t injured.
The suspect is described as an older, tall, white man with a thin build. The had brown and gray hair and was wearing a button-down shirt.
The man was driving an older-model brown or yellow, four-door vehicle with a dent in the driver’s-side door.
