4 Injured After Shots Fired at Lounge in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Police say four people were injured when shots were fired during a fight at a lounge in northwest Roanoke.

Police Capt. Eric Charles tells The Roanoke Times (http://tinyurl.com/he7amzb ) that shots were fired around 3:20 a.m. Sunday inside Ms. Choc’s Lounge. Charles says about 150 people were inside at the time and many ran out of the building.

It was the third time in the last four months that shots were fired at Ms. Choc’s Lounge, which is known for staying open after most bars close at 2 a.m.

All four of those injured were in their 20s. Two were taken to a hospital and two others arrived at the hospital in personal vehicles.

Charles says it’s not clear whether the four people were shot or were injured some other way.
