3 Suspects Stole 35 Firearms From Fairfax Co. Gun Store

WASHINGTON — Surveillance footage shows three men breaking into a gun store in Chantilly, Virginia, and stealing nearly three dozen firearms early Saturday morning, police said.

Fairfax County police officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at 50 West Armory, a gun store at 13930 Metrotech Dr. off the Lee Jackson Memorial Highway on March 11.

Police said 35 firearms were stolen from the store. The Washington Post reported that the total value of stolen firearms was worth over $19,000, according to police.

Police described the suspects, based off the surveillance footage, as follows:

  • Suspect 1: A black man about 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall; 190 to 210 pounds; with dreadlocks and a dark blue jacket.
  • Suspect 2: A black man about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall; 165 to 185 pounds; with a dark jacket with a silver stripe down the sleeves, jeans, black shoes and light-colored gloves.
  • Suspect 3: A black man about 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall; 150 to 170 pounds; with a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black shoes and light-colored gloves.

Last week, Montgomery County police said multiple guns were stolen from a Rockville, Maryland, gun store. Fairfax County police have contacted police in Montgomery County to see if there is a connection between the two robberies, NBC Washington reported.
