14-year-old Boy Stabs Girl at Silver Spring Metrobus Stop

WASHINGTON – A 14-year-old boy stabbed a teenage girl at a Metrobus stop in Silver Spring, Maryland, Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The boy stabbed a girl, 14, at the stop outside Eastern Middle School — 300 University Blvd, East – after 3 p.m. Thursday, said Montgomery County police spokesman Officer Rick Goodale.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. She is expected to be OK, Goodale said.

The boy was taken into custody after the incident. Police say they believe the teens knew eachother.

Detectives are trying to figure out what kind of weapon was used in the stabbing. The weapon was not recovered at the scene.
