One of the city’s most sought-after rooftops is now an option for your al fresco dining and drinking pleasure.
The Rosewood Washington D.C. hotel in Georgetown, formerly known as the Capella hotel, is opening its rooftop to the public starting Wednesday. Under the hotel’s previous management, the roof was only open to hotel guests. Rosewood took over from Capella when the hotel sold for $65 million earlier this year.
The rooftop venue will feature a menu of light fare from chef Frank Ruta, as well as some signature items from the hotel’s Grill Room restaurant like Ruta’s famous burger. (The chef’s burger made a name for itself as one of the best in D.C. during Ruta’s time at the now-shuttered Palena in Cleveland Park.)
The cocktail list will include a rye-inspired frozen drink to tie in with the hotel’s bar, the Rye Bar, along with other cocktails and rare whiskies and Veuve Cliquot sparkling rosé by the glass.
