New Rooftop Spots for Southwest D.C., Georgetown and More New Restaurant News

The Rosewood Washington D.C. hotel in Georgetown, formerly known as the Capella hotel, is opening its rooftop to the public starting Wednesday. Under the hotel’s previous management, the roof was only open to hotel guests. Rosewood took over from Capella when the hotel sold for $65 million earlier this year.

(The chef’s burger made a name for itself as one of the best in D.C. during Ruta’s time at the now-shuttered Palena in Cleveland Park.)

The cocktail list will include a rye-inspired frozen drink to tie in with the hotel’s bar, the Rye Bar, along with other cocktails and rare whiskies and Veuve Cliquot sparkling rosé by the glass.
