DC Police Searching for Persons of Interest in Deadly Hit-and-Run

Police have released photos of two people in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed one woman and injured another in Northeast D.C. in August.

A dark-colored vehicle struck the two women while turning left onto the 1600 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE near the D.C.-Maryland border on Aug. 30, D.C. police said. Both victims were in the crosswalk at the time.

Sherron Pressley, 51, died at the hospital. The other woman had injuries that were life-threatening, police said.

On Friday, police released surveillance photos of two persons of interest and asked for anyone who could identify them to call police at 202-727-9099.

Pressley's mother previously told News4 her daughter loved people and her family and she was trying to get back into accounting.

Friends of the other woman hurt told News4 in August that she suffered a possible injury to her spine and she would have a long road to recovery.
