D.C. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton sported a temporary tattoo. She said residents "are showing how much it means to them to be treated as equal American citizens. They're going to put it all over their bodies with the D.C. flag that we're so proud of."

The Give Me a Vote project's vision is to highlight the fight for D.C. voting rights with public art. Hand sculptures made of fiberglass can be seen at Busboys & Poets, Ben's Chili Bowl and community gardens among other places.
