Crazy Christmas Caravan Coming

Really Get Jolly with Flying Dog and Brightest Young Things

Forget stuffy parties and carols in the Metro. The Christmas Lights Art Car Parade sounds like the most fun Christmas celebration around. Flying Dog Brewery and Brightest Young Things are upping the ante this Saturday, Dec. 18.

Folks are being encouraged to decorate their cars with decorative lights and take to the roads. The spectacle will be grand marshaled by the Flying Dog Winnebago.

The festivities start at Jack’s Boathouse in Georgetown at 7 p.m. Snack on CakeLove cupcakes made with Flying Dog’s Gonzo Imperial Porter and hot cider.

At 8 p.m. the merry band of revelers will head down K Street to Rock Creek Parkway to Politics and Prose. At 8:30, celeb guests will have a live reading of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" -- with complimentary Flying Dog beers, obvy.

The festivities will culminate at Comet Ping Pong at 9:30 ,with Flying Dog draft specials and live music from D.C.'s Sherell Rowe and Sidewalk Driver of Boston. An awards ceremony will honor those with the most insanely gussied-up cars.

All you need to participate in the parade is a designated driver. Those brave enough to face the cold weather and pedal to the party are invited to participate with art bikes and motorcycles.
