  • Fat people contribute to global warming. As the number of obese people around the world balloons, scientists warn that increased food production and resulting increase in CO2 contributes to global warming. Researchers also say overweight people tend to drive more, further exacerbating environmental conditions. The World Health Organization estimates overweight individuals create an extra billion toms of CO2 each year.
     
  • Spies have hacked into the Pentagon's fighter jet program and stolen data on one of the Defense Department's costliest weapons programs. Information on the F-35 Lightning II fighter was stolen by cyberspies who downloaded the data -- but the hackers weren't able to access the most confidential material because it is stored on computers not connected to the internet.
     
  • The Milky Way may taste like raspberries. Scientists found that a giant dust cloud at the heart of the galaxy that has a substance called ethyl formate, which gives the berries its flavor. 
     
  • The world's first cloned camel was born earlier this month. Scientists in Dubai cloned for the first time a camel calf and researchers hope to use the technology to maintain elite bloodlines of some of the premier racing camels in the region. The camel, named Injaz, is the clone of a camel killed for food in 2005.
     
  • Snorers may be having less sex than their sound-sleeping counterparts. As many as 60 percent of those who snore are forced out of bed and more than half of couples surveyed confessed they have sex less than once a month, according to a new study.
