Ever want to party under the sea? Here's your chance. Sip cocktails surrounded by more than 200 species including sharks, alligators, piranhas and eels at the nation’s oldest aquarium.
On Saturday June 26, the National Aquarium (1401 Constitution Ave. N.W.) is hosting Cocktails for Critters. From 8 to 11 p.m., indulge in hors d’oeuvres and an open bar at this after-hours event. Break out your best cocktail attire and snouse among the aquarium's many exhibits, all remaining open just for the special event.
All ticket proceeds ($30 in advance; $40 at the door) benefit the National Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue Program. Dance the night away with as DJ DDOT of booze-cruise fame spins tunes. A bash at the national Aquarium plus the chance to help marine animals? Sounds like a can't miss event to us.
