Chef Superstars Cook For Tibet in NYC

Last night, The Tibet Fund held its annual fundraising gala at Manhattan's Pierre Hotel, which featured a roster of heavy-hitting New York chefs, each cooking table-side for a table of twenty. The line-up, headlined and curated by Le Bernardin's Eric Ripert, included Tom Colicchio (Craft), April Bloomfield (The Spotted Pig), David Chang (Momofuku), Mark Ladner (Del Posto), Dan Kluger (ABC Kitchen), Laurent Manrique (Millesime), Scott Conant (Scarpetta), Anita Lo (Annisa), and others. "I really like what The Tibet Fund does," says Ripert, a Buddhist and follower (and frequent retweeter) of the Dalai Lama. "They have a very holistic approach to the Tibetan culture, not only to preserve it, but to provide for Tibetan people all over the world."
