Caribbean Parade and Festival Continues

If you missed Saturday, catch the festival on Sunday.

The annual Caribbean Parade and Festival brought the culture and color of the Caribbean to Washington Saturday.

Dancing and music kept the crowds wowed for hours as the parade wound its way down Georgia Avenue. Some of the costumes were so colorful and elaborate they were like great wearable art sculptures, adorned with feathers and geometric shapes.

If you missed the event, rich in the cultural heritage of the Caribbean, the festival runs again Sunday from noon to seven at Banneker Recreation Park across from Howard University.

Delicious Caribbean food and crafts with a spectacular background of music will make you forget you missed the parade.
