Bourbon Steak is offering an extravagant, three-course brunch between 11 A.M. and 3 P.M. on May 8. Executive chef Adam Sobel offers dishes like an asparagus tart with warm ricotta cheese; Ahi tuna tartare with ancho chile, mint, and toasted sesame oil; and crabcakes with caviar cream and a fried quail egg. The meal is $80 for adults and $40 for kids.
For a Spanish twist, head toEstadio for Mother's Day brunch, served from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. The a la carte menu includes dishes like fried hen eggs with chorizo and morcilla hash; warm Spanish toast with walnut butter and Vermont maple syrup; and grilled hangar steak and eggs with patatas bravas.
The brunch at Seasonsis a pricey $100 a head, but the buffet-style meal features high-end stations with lobster rolls, house-smoked pastrami, pork belly BLTs, and grilled rack of lamb. There's an entire room devoted to dessert, including a chocolate fountain. Sign us up! Brunch is available from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
Ditch traditional brunches altogether at The Source, which is serving up a family-style dim sum tasting menu for a $65, which includes a glass of Champagne or another non-alcoholic cocktail. The menu, available from 11:30 A.M. to 3 P.M., includes dishes like pork belly dumplings with black vinegar and chili oil, shrimp and Maine lobster spring rolls, and Shanghai street noodles with Kobe beef short ribs. Kids under the age of 10 get a 50 percent discount.
Chef Bertrand Chemel is offering a three-course menu at 2941 in Falls Church for $68 per adult, served from 11:30 A.M. to 8 P.M. Expect dishes like Provencal fisherman soup with croutons and saffron aioli, jumbo green asparagus with duck prosciutto, and roasted veal loin with sweet barley risotto. Children under 12 can enjoy a special kid's menu for $25.
