Barricade Situation Reported in Colesville; Residents Sheltering in Place

Residents in a Colesville, Maryland, neighborhood are being told to shelter in place while police try to resolve a barricade situation in the area.

The incident began just after 9 a.m. Tuesday at a home on the 13500 block of Montvale Drive. Police say the domestic situation involved a 25-year-old man and his grandfather.

The grandfather is now out of the home, but police say the 25-year-old man refused to leave. Authorities do not know whether there are any weapons inside the home.

Residents in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood are being told to shelter in place while police attempt to resolve the situation. Several roads in the area are closed.
