Every smart shopper knows that spending a fortune on clothing is probably not the best use of money. What about those of us with a clothing obsession without an endless supply of cash? Well, that’s why we have malls such as Potomac Mills.
I found the mall a little overwhelming at first. There are 200 stores and it almost seems like there’s too much to look at, but the fact that almost everything is sold at factory prices makes up for that.
Some of the stores I really liked were Off 5th-Saks Avenue Outlet and Nordstroms Rack. The stores are a little cluttered with merchandise, but the merchandise is drastically marked down. My favorite store was a giant H&M, which sold half-priced scarves and winter coats.
Other good bets include Guess Factory Store, Banana Republic Outlet and Ralph Lauren.
Potomac Mills Mall is about 30 minutes South of D.C.
