National Arboretum Garden Fair!

This weekend the National Arboretum on New York Avenue will hold its big garden fair.   It's quite impressive.  Here's a portion of their press release:

The Garden Fair will be held at the National Arboretum, 3501 New York Avenue N.E., a 10-minute drive from downtown Washington. The event is open to members only on Friday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Tax deductible memberships beginning at $35 are available through FONA in advance or at the gate.) On Saturday, April 25, the fair is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any remaining plants will be sold at bargain prices on Sunday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to noon.

For the first time, Friends of the National Arboretum’s annual Garden Fair and Sale will focus on new, rare and hard-to-find plants as well as plants from the finest specialty nurseries in the region. The Fair, which will take place April 24-26, features the widest range of plants and vendors of any gardening event in the metropolitan area, offered at affordable prices. Proceeds benefit the U.S. National Arboretum’s internship program, which invites horticultural students to work side-by-side with Arboretum curators.

A complete list of plants to be offered by FONA, along with information on vendors, will be posted by April 1 on the FONA web site,
