California First Lady Maria Shriver dining with a female friend at the hip cafe Babalu in Santa Monica… Paris and Nicky Hilton, wearing basic black, as well as Jessica Simpson partied at Bar Deluxe… Larry King shopping at Juicy Couture.
And in NYC -- Jude Law strolled the streets of Brooklyn dressed in 19th century period wear, shooting scenes for “Sherlock Holmes”… a sweet Kate Winslet carrying a huge brown bag, greeted fans and waved to onlookers before her David Letterman guest spot… Katie Holmes with her daughter Suri taking her Cabbage Patch Kid for a stroll before getting into her waiting SUV… Taylor Swift bringing her mom to the Broadway show “Wicked” as an early birthday present.

Wednesday, January 7 in LA — Katherine Heigl sporting a simple black pantsuit at the People’s Choice Awards, saying that she had indulged too much over the holidays… Newly engaged couple Zooey Deschanel (wearing a ring!) and Ben Gibbard having dinner at Hugo’s in West Hollywood. Also there: actor James Cromwell… a Celebuzz source spotted Lindsay Lohan eating at West Hollywood’s Nobu at night with actor Sean Penn. Sean was the only guy at a table full of Lindsay and her friends and the whole table chatted and chain-smoked… Meanwhile, Kid Rock chatted up the paparazzi outside Crown Bar… Jessica Alba showed off her new short haircut as she shopped at Barney’s in Beverly Hills… Nicole Richie and Joel Madden took their daughter Harlow to the park, and Harlow took what appears to be her first steps! Dad Joel couldn’t resist snapping pictures of the happy family.

Monday, January 5, 2008 in NYC — Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway glowed at the premiere for their new chick flick, “Bride Wars”… Kate sported a tiny black “BW” tattoo, joking that the paparazzi would think it would symbolize a new boyfriend.

Sunday, January 4, 2008 in LA -- Celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves, along with the host of Bravo’s “Shear Genius,” enjoyed a coffee at Starbucks in West Hollywood. The duo got a quick pick-me-up before chatting it up with two other guys getting their afternoon caffeine fix… Josh Groban on the stationary bike at Equinox WeHo… Vanessa Anne Hudgens in a new black Audi at the Ralph’s grocery store in Studio City… David Spade with a male friend at the Pacific Theaters at the Grove.
Saturday, January 3 2008 in Vegas — More Spade! David and Nicolette Sheridan shared a low key dinner with another couple at SUSHISAMBA in the Palazzo… David ate vegetable and chicken anticuchos with a California roll and Diet Pepsi. Nicolette enjoyed an Edamame California roll and Belvedere mojito. Both were adorable and casual in jeans - she in a hoodie and he in a t-shirt. Although there wasn’t major PDA, they definitely were affectionate throughout their meal and extremely cute and friendly to the staff.
Friday, January 2 in Vegas — David Spade and Nicolette Sheridan hung out at TAO… they sat next to each other and sipped martinis while talking with friends. Aaron Eckhart later joined their table. Nicolette was staying next door at The Palazzo Las Vegas in a Lago suite. During her stay, she was seen gambling and also visited the Canyon Ranch Spa Club inside The Palazzo for a mani/pedi. Also at David Spade’s show this weekend were Kid Rock, Aaron Eckhart and The Killers. Kid Rock was later seen eating at Dos Caminos inside The Venetian.
And in NYC – “Scrubs’” Eliza Coupe was spotted getting a color and cut at the Patrick Melville Salon and Spa in New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza.
And in LA — Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green shopping for music/movies at Best Buy in Burbank. Both were wearing sunglasses inside the store… Zac Efron buying a Sony Bravia LCD at Costco in Burbank.
New Year’s Day, January 1, in LA — Sylvester Stallone at the Sherman Oaks Galleria after seeing a movie coming down an escalator… Charlie Sheen, his two kids and a very pregnant Brooke Mueller seeing the long line at Cheesecake Factory at the Galleria and then deciding to go elsewhere.
And in NYC — Caroline Rhea enjoying a hot cup of joe in Starbucks on a frigid New Year’s Day at the Starbucks on the Upper West Side.
Random sightings in LA – Jeff Goldblum working out on the elliptical machine at Crunch in West Hollywood. His new film was playing next door at the Laemmle theaters… JC Chasez on the stationary bike at Equinox in WeHo… Monica Lewinksy at a gay ol’ Christmas house party in Pasadena… Rex Lee dining at Asia De Cuba at the Mondrian hotel in LA with two friends.
And in NYC -- Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon dining at Justin Timberlake’s restaurant Southern Hospitality with her parents… Wilmer Valderamma and Damien Wayans tossed back shots of Patron at Via dei Mille… the two headed back to the Soho restaurant the next morning for brunch and bellinis… AnnaLynne McCord doing some last minute holiday shopping at the WeHo Target, all vamped out in all black and super high boots
And in Vegas — Lance Bass shopping at French Connection buying a suit for New Year’s Eve.
