A Taste of Paradise

Ciao from Café Paradiso! This independently owned authentic Italian restaurant has had its doors open for more than ten years. An energetic staff of about eight awaits the arrival of customers every night, and they are surely needed. An extravagant wine list is handed to the customers as they are seated along with the restaurant’s menu and the daily specials menu. Café Paradiso gets packed nightly starting at 7 p.m. and stays that way until about 9:30 p.m. So if you are looking for a quick meal, arrive around 6:30 to beat the crowd. However, if you are in the mood to enjoy a nice bottle of wine along with an appetizer, entrée, and desert venture out around 7 p.m. Along with the contemporarily decorated indoor seating area, there is an outdoor patio. Café Paradiso has transformed their upstairs dining area into a room that caters to special events for up to 100 guests. A full bar add's flair and fun for diners all around.

The restaurant’s chefs excel in the production of pasta. Fresh ravioli and pasta are made daily, bringing that genuine taste of Italy to the United States. Choose from Café Paradiso’s wide selection of antipasto to start off your meal. Favorites include the panzarotti, gamberoni al prosciutto and calamari fritti. If you are not hungry enough for a full appetizer, salads like the Caesar and tonnato (tuna) are also favorites. Next, move on to an entrée that is sure to spike your taste buds. Great dishes include the linguine frutti di mare, pasta la casa, seafood risotto and artichoke ravioli. Fresh seafood makes the frutti di mare and risotto taste as though you are dining on the coast of the Mediterranean. Last but not least, tantalize yourself with a desert. The tasty tiramisu, creamy cannolis and lavish chocolate layer cake are among the most popular. The best way to top off this meal is with a specialty coffee or espresso. Choose from a café au lait, Irish coffee or double espresso to quench your thirst.

Conveniently located on Connecticut Avenue directly across the street from the Adam's Morgan/Woodley Park Metro Station, Café Paradiso is a must-stop for Washingtonians as well as tourists. Open for lunch and dinner, this restaurant is sure to satisfy your hunger. Reservations are not required but are recommended on the weekends for larger parties. Whether you are dining for two or 20, Café Paradiso will be sure to accommodate your party without a problem.
