'24' Moving To New York City

The Big Apple is about to get Jack-ed up.

After six seasons in Los Angeles and one in Washington, D.C., Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and his "24" team are moving to New York next season, a rep for FOX confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Production is slated to begin next month. And while much of the shooting will still happen in Los Angeles, with some New York footage mixed in, the plot will be based in New York City.

According to Entertainment Weekly, who first broke the news, the upcoming Day 8 will see CTU make a comeback under the leadership of a new male character named Brian Hastings.

Hastings (who has yet to be cast) will be joined by two new up-and-coming agents, as well as the return of Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub).

"Slumdog Millionaire" game show host Anil Kapoor will also be joining the cast as Arman Hashemi, a Middle Eastern leader on a peacemaking mission in the U.S.
