One of the first signs of spring arrived in D.C. Tuesday: The Environmental Film Festival.
With 160 films, this is the largest film festival of its kind in the world, and for 23 years, it's been in our backyard.
The festival is bringing more than 60 filmmakers to town for discussions and viewings.
It will transport you to some of the world’s spectacular places and allow you to get close to some of its more mystical creatures.
You can find these films in dozens of venues around the area and almost all of the showings are free.
The festival runs until March 29.
