All Your Dreams Come True: Good Humor Is Giving Out Free Ice Cream

In the thick of a steamy August heatwave, nothing hits the spot like good, old-fashioned ice cream... except for good, old-fashioned, FREE ice cream.

Good Humor is bringing free treats to D.C. starting Tuesday and lasting through Aug. 25. They will share daily locations on their Twitter account, @GoodHumor.

The free frozen treats come as part of Good Humor's Welcome to Joyhood tour. Good Humor has offered free ice cream in Boston and New York in past summers, but this will be their first stop in D.C.

Good Humor's Joy Squad will parade through the city in classic Good Humor trucks with modernized features including six digital TV screens, social media capabilities and speakers to play tunes. They'll serve ice cream from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The free ice cream giveaway will kick off Tuesday with a truck at Moynihan Plaza from 12 to 2 p.m. Other stops this week include Georgetown, Chinatown, the National Zoo and Dupont Circle. Fans also have the chance to request personal treat delivery on demand by tweeting @GoodHumor.
