A Bed and Breakfast Cookie Trail in Cape Charles, Va.

If there ever was something to follow in life, a cookie trail would be our top choice. Luckily, the seaside town of Cape Charles, Va.. is giving you a sweet treat with their B&B Holiday Cookie Trail on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The Cape Charles Bed and Breakfast Cookie Trail is sort of like a scene from the Wizard of Oz, except there's no yellow brick road, only sweet treats awaiting your arrival. This tasty adventure starts at the local library where you pick up your cookie trail map that will lead you to the five local B&B's, each offering a special treat for your travels. Before, during and after your cookie trail adventure, you'll have the opportunity to make stops throughout the historic town as it's decorated in its holiday attire.

A stop at the Cape Charles Confectionery is rumored to be giving out free bakery samples as well. Other events happening during the cookie trail weekend include the Holly Jolly Christmas Party at the Palace Theatre (3 p.m.) and the Chowder Cookoff at Aqua Kings Creek Marina (5-9 p.m.)

The five bed and breakfasts taking part in the holiday events are:

Chesapeake Bay View, 212 Bay Ave.
