The battle to defend the Capitals' ownership of the Stanley Cup has begun.

The Capitals need to pull off four wins in a seven-game series against the Hurricanes to advance in the playoffs.
Washington is currently up 3-2 in the first round series after rebounding at home from two loses in Raleigh.
The next games scheduled are:

- Game 7 (If needed): Wednesday, April 24 in Washington, D.C. (Tune In: NBCSW, TBD)
The winner of this series will go on to face the New York Islanders, who swept their first round series agaisnt the Pittsburgh Penguins.
