Two new Target stores opened in Washington on Sunday, as the retailer expands its foothold in the D.C. area.
The two shops in Cleveland Park and Shepherd Park in Northwest are miniature versions of the giant stores the corporation is known for.
The Cleveland Park store is located at 3505 Connecticut Ave. NW in front of the Cleveland Park Metro station, and the Shepherd Park location is at 7828 Georgia Ave. NW at Eastern Avenue.
The two stores are the fifth and sixth mini stores in the D.C. area, with additional shops planned for Ballston, Virginia, and the neighborhoods of Ivy City and Tenleytown in D.C.
Existing mini-shops are operating in Falls Church, Rosslyn, Bethesda and College Park.
CORRECTION (April 8, 2019, 6:51 a.m.): An earlier version of this story misidentified Eastern Avenue as Eastern Street.
