What do eastern kingsnakes, fishing cats and Bei Bei the giant panda have in common? They all celebrated fall's return with carved pumpkins and delicious snacks at the Smithsonian's National Zoo.
Shared on the National Zoo's Twitter account this weekend with the hashtag "AnimalsToFallFor", the photos of Bonnie the orangutan, a ring-tailed lemur, an eastern kingsnake and a fishing cat showed the critters enjoying treats like toasted pumpkin seeds and playing with carved pumpkins. Meanwhile, a video of Bei Bei the giant panda rolling around on a log sprinkled with pumpkin spice captured the internet's attention.
Zoos from around the country also shared photos of their animals enjoying pumpkins on Friday.
