The National Zoo said it would reopen Tuesday at noon, after it closed briefly for snow Monday and Tuesday morning.

The zoo said some of its animals would likely be outside -- but not the giant pandas, which "will most likely be inside."

The zoo is home to approximately 2,000 different animals of 400 different species, and is normally open every day but Christmas.
