Root for the Home Team: Nationals Park to Host NLDS Game 5 Watch Party

The winner of tonight's Nationals-Dodgers game advances to the championship series

Who said D.C. isn't a sports town? We've got two teams in the playoffs right now — and the Nationals' game Wednesday night determines if they will advance to the championship series.

The Nationals face the Dodgers in tiebreaker Game 5 of the National League Division series on Wednesday night. They play in Los Angeles, but that doesn't mean fans can't get together to cheer them on in a big way.

You can join in on the Nats' official watch party at Nationals Park. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and first pitch is at 8:37 p.m. Although it's free to attend the watch party, you must have a ticket to enter. The general public can watch the game from the seating bowl, and Nats Plus members are invited to enjoy special benefits including exclusive seating and free food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Despite fans cheering on the Washington Mystics at National Harbor on Tuesday night, they fell short against the Connecticut Sun in Game 4 of the WNBA Final. The Mystics are tied 2-2 in the 5-game series, but they're back home at D.C.'s Entertainment and Sports Arena for the do-or-die final game on Thursday at 8 p.m.
