Flower Mart Returns to National Cathedral This Weekend

    K9, SWAT or Undercover?

The 74th Flower Mart kicks off at Washington National Cathedral Friday.

The two-day festival features artist tents, food vendors, music, kids' activities including rides on an antique carousel, and -- of course -- plenty of plants up for sale. Admission is free.

This year's festival will feature a photography exhibit from the American Society of Photographers and presentations by horticulture experts and National Park Service rangers.

On Saturday, you can have the chance to climb the tower. Climbs are offered from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every half-hour (except at noon) for $10 per person. Tickets are available on site only.

The funds raised will go towards initiatives to care for the 59 acres of gardens and landscape surrounding the cathedral.

    Dates and times:
    Friday-Saturday, May 3-4
    Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
