Surprise! Dave Chappelle is co-hosting a pop-up show Thursday night at City Winery, the venue announced with just a day to spare.
Chappelle will join jazz harmonicist Frederic Yonnet, City Winery said. Ticket sales began at noon Thursday -- and tickets were gone less than two hours later. However, a waiting list is available online here.
Those who sign up for the waiting list will be contacted via email should tickets become available, City Winery said on Twitter.
Chappelle and Yonnet will hold their pop-up jam at 11 p.m., after two performances by Yonnet set for earlier in the evening. Thursday's events kick off City Winery's participation in the 2018 D.C. Jazz Festival.
